We'll be welcoming back celebrated counselors Paxton and Ms. Britt for our four-week season. Camp will be capped at ten students per session, aged K-eligible through 11. We have two spots each week for Junior Counselors, target age 13-15.

Week One: Water & Garden
July 18-22

Week Two: Forest & Wildflowers
July 25-29

Week Three: Fauna of Farm & Forest
August 1-5

Week Four: Forts & Games
August 8-12

Each day will involve visiting and helping out with the barnyard animals, hiking into the forest, creative activities, group games, free play, and projects related to the theme of the week.

The address is 12821 NW Springville Rd 97229, and the camp day will be from 9 am to 3 pm.

Cost is $275 per week (deposit $60 per child, per session). There is a 10% discount for registering for all four weeks and a 10% discount for siblings attending together. These can be combined with each child being eligible for one discount. Cost for the Junior Counselor program is $60 per week, with a 10% discount for registering for all four weeks. A small amount of scholarship funding is available for low-SES families.

Our goal is to pay our high-quality staffers what they're worth and keep our other costs to a bare minimum. We do simple projects and focus on experiencing the farm and forest!

Our staff is the core of the farm and forest experience. Returning for another season, we are excited to have Ms. Britt! Among many other things, Britt is an educator at TreeSong Nature Awareness & Retreat Center (which fosters stewardship of and connection to nature, community and self through programs for adults, children and families) and is formerly a lead guide at Trackers Earth. She is also a yoga teacher and dancer. Miss Britt excels at engaging campers in experiencing the natural world all around, and has deep experience with wilderness as well as with domesticated flora and fauna, barnyard animals and gardening for a homestead.

And we welcome back Paxton for his second season with us (but far from his second season working with kids!). He is our board member, former director, and head counselor Torin's "little" brother. Paxton is a senior at Hampshire College, with plans to finish this fall. As part of his capstone project, he's traveled several times to Colombia, where he has volunteered at a community center for low-income kids, teaching and tutoring them entirely in Spanish. He spent two summers as a counselor at a traditional overnight camp in charge of boys ranging in age from 7 to 15, and for several years at Hampshire he has worked with preschoolers in the college's on-site daycare. Paxton loves soccer, hiking, rock climbing, and basically all games, and always has a fun-loving sparkle in his eye.

We're delighted to have them both back with us for 2022!
