Summer Camp 2021

Register now for Farm & Forest Summer Camp!

Registration is open for Farm & Forest Summer Camp! Ages kindergarten (5 by September 1) and up; M-F 9 am to 3 pm every week. Max 10 kids with 2 awesome staff. Complete registration forms will have all covid info and protocols (we are assuming masks, sanitizing, etc. at least through the summer, and we'll keep everyone updated of any changes).

10% discounts available for siblings (SIBLING), campers registering for four weeks or more (ALLSUMMER), and payment in full by May 15. Pay the 20% deposit when you register; your final invoices will reflect all your discounts.

Every week we offer fun outdoor activities (such as exploring in the woods, playing games, and gardening) and lead arts and crafts projects.  Throughout the day we provide opportunities to engage in free play, explore music and math, as well as quiet time to read or do a puzzle.

We're excited to welcome a great staff to the summer program.

Returning for another season, we are excited to have Miss Britt! Among many other things, Britt is currently an educator at TreeSong Nature Awareness & Retreat Center (which fosters stewardship of and connection to nature, community and self through programs for adults, children and families) and is formerly a lead guide at Trackers Earth. She is also a yoga teacher and dancer.

Returning for a longer stint this summer is camp counselor Sophia. Sophia is an engineering student at the Colorado School of Mines, and loves arts and crafts and is a black belt in tae kwon do. She has been teaching tae kwon do kids' camps for the last few years and loves the varied activities we offer at Farm & Forest Summer Camp (and the chance to be outside!).

Lastly, we welcome Paxton, our board member, former director, and head counselor Torin's "little" brother. Paxton will be a senior at Hampshire College. As part of his capstone project, he'll go back to Colombia this fall, where he has volunteered in the past, joining the staff at a community center for low-income kids, teaching and tutoring them entirely in Spanish. He spent two summers as a counselor at a traditional overnight camp in charge of boys ranging in age from 7 to 15, and for several years at Hampshire he worked with preschoolers in the college's on-site daycare. Paxton loves soccer, hiking, rock climbing, and basically all games, and always has a fun-loving sparkle in his eye. I'm delighted to have him with us this summer!
